Exponents - Introduction.
Before starting our course of exponent, root, and logarithms, first we must start from understanding the very basic of them: the exponent. In this post, we will review about powers, base number, and the exponent.
In this example:
a is the base number, and
b is the exponent.
It could be called power of b.
Some special results from exponents are written below:If a = 0, ab = 0.
If b = 0, ab = 1.
If a = 1, ab = 1.
If b = 1, ab = a.
